Lisa Goodridge - Chair

Hello! I’m Lisa, and I have the pleasure of serving as the Chair at Little Sparks Enfield. My journey here has been deeply personal. I lost my beloved Goddaughter to a brain tumor when she was only five.

During her treatment, I saw firsthand how important play and joy are for children, especially in hospital and home settings. It struck me how play provides a vital escape from the challenges of illness, helping children to develop emotionally and socially during tough times.

This experience motivated me to join Little Sparks Enfield as a volunteer back in 2018. I was proud to receive our charity number in 2021 and took on the role of Vice Chair. When the previous chair stepped down in 2023, I felt a strong calling to step into the role of Chair. I’m committed to broadening our reach and making sure every child undergoing treatment has access to therapeutic play and resources. Our groups aim to create a welcoming space where children facing similar challenges can find comfort, joy, and connection.

Through our work, we hope to nurture resilience, spark creativity, and create beautiful memories, even amidst the struggles. Every child deserves the chance to embrace their childhood, no matter what obstacles they face. With the support of our wonderful community, we can truly make a difference in the lives of these brave young warriors and their families. Let’s work together to bring a little more light into their lives!

Senada Gjokaj - Vice Chair

Hello! I’m Senada, and I’m thrilled to be the Vice Chair of Little Sparks Enfield. This organization holds a special place in my heart, and I’d love to share why. Back on November 9th, 2018, my world turned upside down when I lost my younger sister, Sabjana, to cardiomyopathy. The sorrow was all-consuming, and I often felt like I was in a dark tunnel with no way out. I found it hard to open up, especially to my family, because I didn’t want to add to their heartache.

Then, out of the blue, a charity I hadn’t heard of—Little Sparks Enfield—knocked on our door. I had no idea that this organization would soon become such an important part of our journey. They provided not just practical support but also a warm, compassionate environment where my family and I could grieve together, honor Sabjana’s memory, and connect with others who understood our pain.

Through their activities and outings, we found a sense of community that truly helped us on our path to healing.

As I grew older, I felt a strong desire to give back and extend that same compassion to others navigating the heart-wrenching experience of losing a loved one. So, it’s with great pride that I serve as the Vice Chair of Little Sparks Enfield. I’m dedicated to ensuring that no one has to face their grief alone, just as we were supported during our toughest times.
